Tanzania is a year-round destination. June to October is the long dry season with excellent game viewing. From January to March the Great Migration calves around Ndutu in the southern Serengeti. April and May bring the long rains, green landscapes and fewer visitors.
Yes. Our 11-day Migration Experience and 12-day Premium Luxury safari spend several days around Ndutu and the Serengeti, following the migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle depending on its location.
The northern circuit — Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara — is Tanzania’s most famous safari region. The southern circuit — Nyerere, Ruaha, Mikumi and Udzungwa — is wilder and less crowded, with boat safaris, walking safaris and hiking. Our 16-day safaris combine both.
Yes. Several of our southern itineraries end in Dar es Salaam, from where you can fly to Zanzibar. We are happy to add a beach stay to any safari.
Of course. Our tour packages are a starting point — we can add or remove days, change lodges or combine parks to suit you.
Group departures are Kilimanjaro climbs on fixed dates that you can join individually or with friends. Each departure shows the total spaces, the spaces already booked and the spaces still available.
A guaranteed departure has enough travellers booked to run as planned, so you can book your flights with confidence.
Click “Reserve Spot” on the departure you like, enter your details and the number of travellers and send the request. Our team will confirm your spot personally. No payment is taken online.
Longer routes such as Lemosho, Machame and the Northern Circuit allow better acclimatisation. Marangu uses mountain huts, and Rongai approaches from the drier northern side. We are happy to advise you.
No technical climbing is required, but you should be comfortable walking for several hours a day over consecutive days. The altitude is the main challenge, so good preparation and a longer route help.
Yes. If no group date suits you, we can organise a private climb on the route and date of your choice.

Most visitors need a visa. Many nationalities can apply online through the official Tanzania Immigration e-visa portal before travelling. Your Tanzania visa also covers Zanzibar. Please check the current rules for your nationality.
Northern safaris start with a pick-up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and a night in Arusha. Southern safaris start at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam.
A 4x4 safari vehicle with six seats and a roof hatch for game viewing. Some itineraries include scheduled flights between the parks.
All our driver-guides speak English. French, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese-speaking guides are available on request.
Travel insurance is not included in our packages, and we strongly recommend comprehensive cover including medical evacuation. Zanzibar requires visitors to hold its official inbound travel insurance — please check the current requirements before you travel.
A yellow fever certificate is required if you arrive from, or transit through, a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. Consult a travel clinic about recommended vaccinations a few weeks before you travel.
Malaria is present in much of Tanzania, including the safari parks and Zanzibar. Ask your doctor about prophylaxis, use insect repellent and wear long sleeves in the evening.
Drink bottled or treated water. Drinking water is provided on safari.
